Stumbled upon Parkland when looking for a campsite in the Kingsbridge area and really enjoyed our 3-night stay there. We were in a VW Camper plus tent. The pitches are individually fenced off with individual names. Toilet/showers are clean and well laid out. There is a shop on site that is competitively priced for basic amenities. Ring the bell for service if no one there. Would definitely stay here again when in the area. You can walk into Kingsbridge using footpaths and back roads after the first small part using the flat grass verge. Maybe take around half an hour to get down to the harbour area but a nice walk.

Currently staying at Parkland with family and have to say what amazing facilities, the site is being improved all the time and it looks great!! The shop is awesome and has everything you want and more! Very well thought out site and the WiFi is exceptional! I am a massive fan of the recycling and so pleased to see a camp site taking it seriously. Great attention to detail 🙂

Just returned from a week at Parklands. Site is extremely clean and well kept, an abundance of flowers and shrubs throughout make a lovely setting. Showers and toilets frequently cleaned. Owners are friendly and helpful, and are an extremely worthwhile source of local knowledge. Shop is well stocked with some great local produce (but no beer!). Recommended.

What a beautiful site! The views to die for. We love this site, thinking of getting a season pitch. We always feel that we don’t want to go home. The site owner made us most welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were clean and well maintained with a very easy to understand recycling system. The cafe was thoughtfully stocked with essentials and even the cheeky cream tea available. A most impressive developing site that screams out 5 star!!

We have just returned from another great stay at Parklands… we have tried other sites and prefer this one by far…. A beautiful site ‘very well maintained’ great location and views. We have always found the showers to be lovely and hot ‘essential after a day at the beach or walking’ and very clean…. The shop has bailed us out on many occasions, great selection and very reasonably priced….

It’s a nice small place to stay in a quiet spot. It’s worth mentioning that it’s part of a camping site so there is some view of various motor homes and such, but it’s a quiet spot. Clean inside and well equipped for relaxing and self-catering.

Jim – Tonto’s View

Tonto’s View is sparkling clean and in an excellent location. Just a 30-40 minute walk into Kingsbridge makes for a nice evening stroll for a bite to eat. A 20 minute drive will take you to beautiful Salcombe. We really appreciated the little homely touches of fresh pastries, eggs and enjoyed the wine library. The bed was comfortable and facilities in the bungalow were excellent. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you!

Thank you for a lovely stay we had a 3 nights here. The bungalow was spotless with lovely views over South Devon. On arrival James greeted us and there was a loaf of bread, butter, milk, fruit, bottle of Prosecco and eggs to start us off when we got there, which was most appreciated. The bungalow is close to Kingsbridge (you can walk to Kingsbridge from the campsite approx 20-30 mins), Salcombe, Dartmouth and Hope Cove to name a few places. There is a very nice Indian restaurant that we tried in Kingsbridge called Maha-Bharat which we highly recommend.

Tonto’s View was an amazing find and a brilliant stay! The value for money was brilliant – it was beautiful inside, clean and had absolutely everything we needed for the weekend and more. There are so many thoughtful touches throughout, from the wine library to the bits there for us when we arrived. James was a great host who gave us a tour when we arrived, and provided a folder full of useful information, which we used a lot when we were there! The property is excellent value for money, being a tidy, clean, beautifully presented ‘home from home’ for our weekend away. Many thanks to James and team for the stay, and we will definitely be back!

Booked as a last minute NYE getaway as previous plans fell through and we were so glad we did. James is very accommodating and met us for a late check in without any quarrels. The eggs, milk, bread and bottle of fizz left for us was a lovely touch. There’s plenty of room for parking in the grounds which was very secure and private. Tonto’s view was the perfect place for our chilled, last minute New Years Eve night in. I’d highly recommend staying!

Tonto’s view was such a beautiful property with incredible views. James has thought of everything you could possibly need in this property and the wine library was a particularly innovative addition. We absolutely loved our stay here and really didn’t want to leave. We just look forward to visiting again! The property is very central to many exciting places to visit and they are willing to point you in the direction of anything you may like. I would thoroughly recommend stay here if you are planning on exploring South Devon.

We had an amazing time at James’s place. We felt really comfortable, everything was clean and the decor was nice too. The location was also good, close to many beautiful places. I just wish we would stay longer than 2 nights as there is lot to see. James was a great host, happy to give us any tips. Highly recommended 🙂

We loved Aunty Betts! A fantastic compact little piece of heaven ideally situated for exploring the surrounding area. James was a great host and was very helpful with any questions we had.

James place is very cute. Everything that you need is packed into a tiny area. There is even a small patio with gas barbecue and views. We stayed 2 nights before setting off on a week walking the SW coastal path, and loved it.

Lovely air bnb, very cosy, in a quiet area, walking distance to the town, about 10 minutes, James the host was very welcoming and helpful, would definitely recommend!
