Local Walks

Parkland is located one mile (as the crow flies and by road) from Kingsbridge. You can walk to Kingsbridge from the site, this is approximately 1.5 miles. The walk starts from the site along the grass verge, then a quiet country lane with the remaining mile on the inland footpath.

We are just a short car journey away from some amazing walks on the South West Coast Path along with scenic walks in the South Devon National Landscape.

Local Buses

Bus Stop at Parkland!

We are pleased to advise you that the Tally Ho 164 and the Stagecoach 93 buses now stop directly outside of Parkland’s entrance.

Please wait in the entrance (or directly opposite, depending on your direction of travel) so that the bus driver can clearly see you.

Getting to Kingsbridge & Salcombe

Catch the Tally Ho 164 bus from directly outside our entrance to Kingsbridge, with an onward service to Salcombe.
From Kingsbridge
- Take the Stagecoach 93s bus to Torcross
- Take the Stagecoach 3 bus to Plymouth
- Take the Tally Ho 162 bus to Thurlestone & Hope Cove (limited service)

Getting to Dartmouth

Catch the Stagecoach 93 bus to Dartmouth.
Please cross the road and wait at the stop opposite the site entrance.

Getting to Totnes & the English Riviera

Catch the Tally Ho 164 bus to Totnes.
Please cross the road and wait at the stop opposite the site entrance.
From Totnes, you can connect to buses serving the English Riviera, including Paignton, Torquay, and Brixham.

The No. 93 service to Dartmouth.
The No 93s service to Torcross departs from Kingsbridge Quay.
The No. 3 service to Plymouth departs from Kingsbridge Quay.
The Tally Ho 162 service from Kingsbridge to Thurlestone & Hope Cove.
Please note this is very limited service.

If you are unsure about timings, please ask at reception—we will be happy to help.

We certainly recommend using the bus services to Salcombe and Dartmouth as parking is limited.

Car Parking

The main towns and villages, and some beaches have easy accessible car parks which are operated by the local council. We would recommend that you download the PAYBYPHONEAPP – this saves worrying about having the correct change.

There are also some privately owned car parks which offer contactless payment but some are still cash, and National Trust car parks use the PAYBYPHONEAPP. (free if you are a member)

Due to works taking place in Kingsbridge car parking is free from 2pm to 8pm daily in the Quay and Fore Street car parks. This information is correct as of April 2026.
