Welcome to the heart of the South Hams, where Parkland is located, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, which enjoys warm summers and mild winters.

The area has plenty to offer all, whether you like to ramble along the stunning South West Coast Path, or the network of pretty inland green lanes, explore small towns and quaint villages, or perhaps magnificent gardens and historic houses. Visitor attractions are plentiful, along with sailing, water-sports, fishing and golf, or perhaps you prefer a lazy day on one of the many glorious beaches in the vicinity, with a good meal from many fine establishments in the area to round the day off…

You will discover that South Devon is the perfect location for the water-sports enthusiast. For the energetic why not try your hand at surfing, kayaking or paddle boarding at Bantham or Bigbury. Salcombe offers boat hire for the experienced sailor, or tuition for the beginner. For a leisurely day sit back and relax on a scenic cruise from Dartmouth, enjoy the wildlife on the River Dart, or venture out to sea for the stunning coastline. Fishing trips can also be arranged from Salcombe, and the area has many private fisheries.
